Movements

A movement is more than a program—it is a growing, multiplying work of God where individuals become disciples, and disciples become disciple-makers. At DMM Pakistan, we focus on seeing sustainable movements that spread naturally through relationships, communities, and local leadership.

Our vision is to see **healthy, reproducing movements** emerge within every people group—where transformation continues without dependence on external support.

What Defines a Movement?

A true movement is characterized by:

  • Rapid multiplication of Discovery Bible Study (DBS) groups
  • Local leadership development from within communities
  • Obedience-based discipleship, not just knowledge
  • Reproduction, where each group starts new groups
  • Sustainability, driven by local believers

Movements are not controlled—they grow organically as people live out and share what they learn.

How Movements Begin

Movements often start small—with a few individuals gathering to study Scripture. As they apply what they learn and share it with others, new groups are formed.

This simple process leads to:

  • New believers
  • New group leaders
  • New communities of faith

Over time, these small beginnings grow into networks of multiplying groups across regions.

Current Movement Progress

Through DBS and community engagement, we are witnessing:

  • Thousands of active DBS groups
  • Growing participation across multiple regions
  • Increasing number of local leaders emerging
  • Expansion into new people groups and communities

Each new group represents another step toward a wider, sustainable movement.

Our Strategy

To cultivate strong and lasting movements, we focus on:

  • Prayer and dependence on God
  • Equipping local leaders rather than outside control
  • Simple, reproducible methods like DBS
  • Cultural relevance within each people group
  • Ongoing mentoring and support

This ensures that movements are not temporary efforts but long-term transformations.

Impact Across Communities

Movements are impacting lives across:

  • Families
  • Schools and colleges
  • Churches
  • Women’s groups
  • Underserved communities

As individuals grow in faith, they influence their surroundings—leading to stronger families, healthier communities, and positive social change.

Vision Ahead

Our goal is to see:

  • A multiplying movement in every district
  • Every people group engaged through discipleship
  • Local leaders equipped to lead without dependency
  • Continuous growth through reproduction

We believe that when ordinary people are empowered, extraordinary transformation happens.

Movements are not built by programs—they are built by people who live out their faith and share it with others.
